Engineering Senior Design Video

TOOLS + TIPS

This post covers some production gear that is available to Trinity faculty, students, and staff. I'll also provide a couple highlights about each product and a link to a vendors site for more information. Our equipment is intended to assist all skill levels. The CLT staff is knowledgeable in our inventory so please ask for assistance if you get stuck or are interested in learning more about the product. All items are intended for Trinity related purposes.

The CLT also has workstations (Mac and PC) loaded with video editing software. Quiet rooms (Flip Room and 101Q Media Presentation Room) are available to record your audio voice overs. Between the cameras, audio recorders, editing software, and creative spaces you should have all the tools needed to produce a clear and concise video for your audience.

Start a Hangout

TOOL + TUTORIAL

This post will cover Google Hangout. Since we are a Google Apps campus I thought this might help some who have never tried a hangout with a colleague. This is perfect for a department meeting group project with those who are working remotely. Google Hangout is a video conferencing system that lets you have a video meeting. These are great because there is no mucking around with firewall settings, no VPN software to install, and chances are you probably already own everything that you need to get started. Continue reading to learn how to setup your own hangout.
